An internship with Opera Cleveland can open doors to your future by providing experience in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment. The Opera Internship Program (OIP) provides individuals who are interested in working in a nonprofit organization with valuable skills and experience.  Internships are available on a semester-by-semester basis and can range in length from a few weeks to a full semester. INTERN REFLECTIONS    I have found that my internship experience at Opera Cleveland was extremely valuable, and something that I would highly recommend for anyone considering a career in stage management.   The stage management team that I worked with not only taught me a great deal about proper organizing, coordinating, and the calling of operatic productions, but also helped me adjust to the differences between educational and professional opera.   I also made contacts, and friendships, that reach beyond Cleveland into many theatrical markets across the country.  These friendships continue to be helpful long after my internship was complete.   One benefit of having completed an internship with a smaller company like Opera Cleveland was that I was able to interact directly with many people in the production team, not only those in stage management.  I also got hands on experience cueing artists, maintaining rehearsal schedules, and editing documents necessary for a successful show, things I likely wouldn’t have been able to do elsewhere.  I feel that my experience with Opera Cleveland has helped prepare me for a career in stage management, and would recommend this program without reservation!   Andrew Landis Production Intern (Don Giovanni, 2009)
